National Film Award-winning actor Alamgir returned home on Wednesday after recovering from coronavirus. The actor was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka on April 18 after he tested positive for coronavirus. Since then, the artiste was taking treatment at the hospital.
Alamgir shared, “Alhumdulillah by the grace of almighty I’ve returned home. Now I’m completely fine and healthy. But I have to stay careful and have to follow the doctor’s instructions. I’m grateful to the doctors, nurses and hospital staff for their cordial care. And my heartiest thanks to all who have prayed for me. Please stay safe and healthy everyone.”Renowned Dhallywood actor Alamgir has acted in over 225 movies. He won Bangladesh National Film Award a record nine times as an actor in the films, ‘Ma O Chhele’ (1985), ‘Apeksha’ (1987), ‘Khotipuron’ (1989), ‘Moroner Pore’ (1990), ‘Pita Mata Santan’ (1991), ‘Andha Biswas’ (1992), ‘Desh Premik’ (1994), ‘Jibon Moroner Sathi’ (2010) and ‘Ke Apon Ke Por’ (2011). He also got the Lifetime Achievement award of National Film Award 2019.
Alamgir made his directorial debut with the film ‘Nishpap’ in 1986. His last directed movie ‘Ekti Cinemar Golpo’ was released in 2018.
