National Revenue Board (NBR) is going to hold its 4th lottery on Wednesday on invoices generated by the Electronic Fiscal Device (EFD) for purchasing goods from the shops or outlets having the system.
NBR will hold the lottery at 10:00 am at the conference hall of the NBR building (Rajswa Bhaban) at Segunbagicha in Dhaka. NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem will present at the function as the chief guest.Through the lottery, the NBR will announce cash reward of Tk 1.2 million for lucky 101 customers for paying VAT by Electronic Fiscal Device (EFD). The first prize winner will get Tk 100,000 (1 lakh) in cash while the second prize winner gets Tk 50,000, according to the policy. Five consumers will share the fourth price worth Tk 25,000 each while 94 consumers will get the fifth price worth Tk 10,000 each.
NBR has been organizing such lottery on invoices generated by EFD/SDC or EFDMS of a month on the fifth day of following month.
As per the policy, the only invoices generated from the EFD Management System (EFDMS) would be considered as coupons for the lottery.
The NBR announced the lucky invoice number in the lottery which will be published in newspapers within next three days of lottery.

The EFD invoice holders will be eligible to receive the prizes.The winners will have to apply to any field-level VAT offices in a prescribed format claiming the prize within the month of lottery. All prizes will be given in cheques and the first three prizes will be handed over to the winners from the NBR head office while the remaining prizes will be distributed instantly from the field offices.
