Army chief leaves for Zambia today

Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed will leave Dhaka for Zambia on Friday on an official visit at the invitation of Zambian Army Chief Lt Gen William Sikazwe.

During the visit, General Aziz will lead a six-member delegation of Bangladesh Army. Chief of Army Staff will visit various military installations and training facilities of the Zambian Army. In addition, he will inspect the parade at the Arakan Barracks in Lusaka, Zambia. He will also lay wreath at the mausoleum. Chief of Army Staff will pay courtesy calls on Minister of Defense of Zambia, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff and Commandant of the Zambia National Service (ZNS).

In addition, he will visit the Zambia Defense Service Command and Staff College and deliver a lecture to student officers.

After the visit, the Chief of Army Staff General Aziz will return home on May 6.
