The government on Monday reappointed Professor Dr Md Ismail Khan as vice-chancellor (VC) of Chittagong Medical University (CMU) for another four years.
Dr Ismail Khan had joined CMU as the first VC on May 13 in 2017.Chancellor of the university President Md Abdul Hamid made the reappointment, said a circular signed by Abdul Quader, deputy secretary of Health and Family Welfare in this regard.
It said Prof Dr Md Ismail Khan would serve as VC for another four years from the time of his appointment. The university will fulfill the obligations of the previous term as per the law and he will get the same salary allowance and other benefits as before.
The Chittagong Medical University was established in 2017 as per Chittagong Medical University Act, 2016.
