2 Hefazat leaders put on remand

A Dhaka court on Sunday placed two leaders of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh on different terms of remand in two separate cases filed with Paltan Police Station over violence in 2013.

Hefazat’s Nayeb-e-Amir Ahmad Abdul Quader, also secretary general of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, was placed on a five-day remand while another leader Mufti Fakhrul Islam was placed on a four-day remand in the two cases.
