The numbers of daily coronavirus infection cases and deaths declined in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning as 83 more patients died and 2,697 new cases were detected during the period.
According to data of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 1,213 coronavirus infected patients died in Bangladesh in the last 13 days from April 12 to April 24 with 83 fresh deaths.Among the 83 deceased, 58 were men and 25 were women. Of them, five were within 31-40 years old; five were between 41-50; 17 within 51-60; and 56 were above 60 years old.
Among the fresh deaths, 53 died in different government hospitals, 28 in different private hospitals across the country and two were at home.
Of the deceased, 52 hailed from Dhaka, 13 from Chattogram, three from Rajshahi, five from Khulna, four from Barishal, three from Rangpur and three from Sylhet division.
A total of 1,213 patients died in the last 13 days as 83 deaths were reported on Saturday, 88 on Friday, 98 on Thursday, 95 on Wednesday, 91 deaths on Tuesday, 112 on Monday, 102 on Sunday, 101 on Saturday, 101 on Friday, 94 on Thursday and 96 deaths on Wednesday.
Some 2,697 infection cases were reported in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning, raising the total number to 7,42400. The daily infection rate has declined to 13.11 percent in the last 24 hours which was 14 percent on Friday, 14.63 percent on Thursday, 15.07 percent on Wednesday, 16.85 percent on Tuesday, 17.68 percent on Monday and 19.06 percent on Sunday.
