Three Bangladeshi expatriate workers met their tragic end in a fatal road accident in Oman Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Md Jahed, 42, Absar, 45, and Salahuddin. They hail from different villages under Rangunia upazila in Chattogram district.

The three worked at Modern Rose Trading Enterprise LLC in Muscat, the capital of Oman, said Mohammad Rezaul Karim, the Bangladeshi owner of the company. The victims were returning to Muscat after finishing their work from Salalah city, 1,000 kilometres away from Muscat, he said.

The car carrying the trio skidded off the road after its driver lost control of the vehicle, leaving them dead on the spot. Jahed, who was at the wheel, is the nephew of Rezaul.

Officials of Bangladesh consulate in Muscat have said that they will take necessary steps to ensure quick and hassle-free return of the bodies to Bangladesh, said Rezaul.
