2 drug peddlers held with 500 Yaba pills in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an anti-crime drive, arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 500 yaba pills here on Saturday night.

According to the RAB sources, the arrested persons were identified as Akkas Ali, 33, son of Ayatullah Mondal and Abdus Sattar, 45, son of late Ramjan Ali, both of Govindanagar village under Puthiya Upazila in the district.

A team of the elite force, being informed, conducted a raid in the Gobindanagar area and arrested them with the yaba pills around 10.30 pm red-handed, RAB sources said here on Sunday.

The arrested persons along with the seized goods were handed over to police after recording a case with Puthiya Police Station in this connection.
