BEZA stands by 500 families

Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) has stood by 500 families with gift items amid the second wave of Covid-19.

BEZA Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury distributed the gift items among workers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar (BSMSN) under Mirsarai, Sitakundu and Sonagazi upazilas of the Chattogram and Feni districts, and poor people of surrounding areas on Sunday.

Paban Chowdhury said food materials would be distributed among the jobless workers of other economic zones in phases.

He thanked Samuda Food Products Limited, a concern of TK Group, for the organisation’s cooperation.

BEZA Project Director Abdullah Al Mahmud Faruk and Mirsarai Upazilla Nirbahi Officer were present on the occasion.

BEZA has planed to disburse relief among 500 families of Rangamati districts on Monday.

During the lockdown of the first phases of Covid-19, relief and gift distribution has been completed among 7000 families in the cyclone Ampan affected districts and the backward districts of the North Bengal area.
