Mujibnagar Day observed in Seoul

Bangladesh Embassy in Seoul observed the historic Mujibnagar Day on Saturday with due solemnity and fervor.

The event was attended by the officials of the embassy at virtual platform.

In the discussion, the speakers highlighted the immense contribution of the Mujibnagar government, headed by the greatest Bangali of all time Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in absentia.

 In her speech, Ambassador Abida Islam paid solemn tribute to the Father of the Nation, four national leaders — Syed Nazrul Islam, Tajuddin Ahmed, Captain M Mansur Ali and AHM Qamruzzaman, three million martyrs and 200,000 Biranganas (war heroines) as well as the freedom fighters.

Ambassador Islam also highlighted the remarkable socio-economic achievements of Bangladesh during its golden jubilee celebration of independence.
