Bashundhara City Shopping Complex, the country’s largest shopping centre and a concern of Bashundhara Group, will remain open today (Tuesday).
The management has decided to keep the shopping mall open by strictly maintaining health regulations for the convenience and safety of the customers.Normally, Bashundhara City Shopping Complex remains closed every Tuesday due to the weekly holiday of the markets in the locality.
The shopping complex will operate this Tuesday so that customers can avail
themselves of the opportunity of last-moment shopping before the country goes into a weeklong strict lockdown.
On April 8, the Cabinet Division issued a circular allowing shopping malls to operate from April 9 to April 13.
The shopping mall remained open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily on the condition of strictly maintaining health guidelines.
Bashundhara City Shopping Mall had re-opened on June 12 last year after being closed since March 26 following an order of the government to ensure social distancing measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.Although the government allowed the reopening of the shopping malls ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr, the leading business conglomerate, Bashundhara Group, kept it shut considering public safety.
