Prominent folk singer Farida Parveen tested positive for coronavirus. The singer is currently taking treatment at home as per the doctor’s advice.
Parveen’s son Imam Zafar Nomani confirmed the news. He said his mother has been unwell for a few days. She took the corona test on April 7 and the result came out positive.She has breathing problems, Nomani further added.
Born on December 31, 1954 in Natore, Farida Parveen is a popular folk singer of the country. Referred to as ‘the Queen of Lalon song’, she received Ekushey Padak in 1987 and National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the film ‘Andho Prem’ in 1993.
