Akram tests positive for corona

Former national skipper Akram Khan tested corona positive and currently in isolation.

Akram informed that he has no major problem and just has a mild cold and sore throat but he is physically doing alright.

“Yes, my corona test result came positive but I'm fine now. I am in isolation at home,” said Akram.

The 52-year old, who played eight Tests and 44 one-day internationals for Bangladesh, is currently a director and the cricket operation chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Board.

Earlier, BCB’s chief curator Sri Lankan Gamini de Silva also tested corona positive.

Bangladesh recorded 77 deaths and 5,343 infections in the past 24 hours from Covid-19 on Saturday, counting the death toll to 9,661 and infections to 6,78,937.

Following the spike in infections, the government had announced a week-long complete lockdown starting from April 14.
