Documentary on Bangabandhu screened in Florida

A documentary titled ‘Political Life of Bangabandhu and Emergence of Bangladesh’ was screened at Lake Worth Playhouse in Florida, USA on Wednesday.

On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence, RTV Florida team has arranged the screening of the documentary.

Produced by Bengal Multimedia Limited (RTV), the documentary features rare historical footage, photographs, newspapers, music and interviews with historical figures. The length of the documentary is 2 hours and 28 minutes.

Syed Ashik Rahman is the producer of the documentary while research, screenplay, music and direction are done by Syed Shabab Ali Arzoo.

 The documentary has depicted the political life of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as well as his student life,  Liberation War, reconstruction of Bangladesh and 15th August of 1975.  

The documentary is divided into several chapters: Bangabandhu’s development episode (1920-1947), Bangabandhu’s entry into the national politics (1947-1954), The rise of Bangabandhu (1955-1963), The Rights Movement and Revolt episode (1963-1969), Historical Election Episode (1970), Freedom Struggle and Liberation War Episode (1971) and Homecoming, world hero and death episode (1972-1975).
