The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) has decided to introduce skill development programme at the university for the graduate students aiming to turn them into skilled ones to cope with the changing world.
The decision was taken at a syndicate meeting of the university on Thursday with Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair, said a DU press release on Friday.Under this ‘Graduate Promotion and Skill Development’ programme, the university will sign MoUs, exchange agreements for inter-liaison and inter-cooperation with various national and international universities, institutions, departments and industries.
Besides, initiatives will be taken to teach students Bengali, English and any other foreign languages.
Special training will be given for imparting practical knowledge in order to develop the graduates as employable in various national, international, non-government organisations.
In the syndicate meeting, a total of 25 researchers were awarded PhD, one researcher DBA and 22 researchers M Phil degrees.
