Jahangirabad Central Zone qualify for men’s cricket final

Jahangirabad Central Zone joined Varendra North Zone in the final of the men’s cricket event of Bangabandhu Bangladesh Games after they beat Chandrodip South Zone by 40 runs in their last league match in Barishal on Thursday.

Central Zone scored 211 runs in 49.3 overs with Ariful Islam making 75 runs after they won the toss and elected to bat first.

Habibur Rahman struck the highest 52 runs but South Zone were bundled out for 171 runs in 45.2 overs in the match.

Central Zone will face North Zone in the final on Saturday.
