SCBA president shifted to ICU again

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Abdul Matin Khasru was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Tuesday night again as his condition deteriorated.

Matin Khasru, also a former law minister, is undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.

His personal assistant Md Mohin said he is now under the observation of doctors at the ICU.

On March 28, Khasru was also shifted to the ICU but on March 31 he was sent to general cabin after his condition was improved.

Khasru was admitted to the hospital on March 16, hours after tested positive for the coronavirus. But on April 1 his Covid-19 test result came out negative.

Abdul Matin Khasru was elected president of SCBA for the next one year in an election held on March 11.

A presidium member of the ruling Awami League, Khasru served as the law minister during the party's 1996-2001 regime. He was also elected lawmaker five times from Cumilla-5 constituency.
