Isolation centre opens in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM: Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has launched an isolation centre to help tackle the growing crisis centring treatments of the Covid-19 patients in the port city.

They also ran such an isolation centre last year and closed it after the corona cases started reducing gradually.

CCC Mayor M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury inaugurated the 50-bed isolation centre developed on two floors of the CCC Library Building in the city’s Laldighi area on Tuesday.

There will be 35 beds for male and 15 for female patients at the isolation centre.

A total of 10 doctors, 12 paramedics, three pharmacists, eight ward boys, two storekeepers and three ward masters will be assigned for 24 hours in rotation for smooth medication to the patients, sources said.

CCC will provide treatments, medicines, foods, oxygen and ambulance services free of cost to the patients, they said.
