The election of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) will be held today amid a surge in coronavirus cases.

Seventy candidates from two panels -- Sammilita Parishad and Forum – are vying in the biennial election in Dhaka and Chattogram.

According to the schedule, the voting is set to be held at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden hotel in the capital and the BGMEA office in Chattogram from 10am to 7pm.
