Bank Asia launches voice banking service

Bank Asia Chairman Rumee A Hossain inaugurates phone call-based (any phone) banking service titled 'Voice Banking' marking the golden jubilee of Independence of Bangladesh in the capital recently.

Bank Asia has launched phone call-based (any phone) banking service titled 'Voice Banking' marking the golden jubilee of Independence of Bangladesh.

Bank Asia Chairman Rumee A Hossain inaugurated the service recently, said a press release.

AI company Hishab has built its dialogue engine to enable the voice banking service which runs in Telephony Artificial Neural Network.

The engine will recognise the voice of the caller regardless of the Bangla accent and will be able to follow customers’ instructions over the phone and serve the purpose of the banking client.

Hishab’s solution will help to bring in the unbanked person in proper financial umbrella. Bank Asia Directors Romana Rouf Chowdhury, Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, President and Managing Director Md Arfan Ali and Managing Director Zubair Ahmed, COO Fayadan Hossain, Chief Sales Officer Mio Ahmed and HISHAB Limited Chief Evangelist Officer Hiroki Watanabe, among others, were also present.
