Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s former personal officer Md Shahjahan died in a city hospital early on Tuesday. He was 58.
Shahjahan, who also served as Awami League’s central office manager, left behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.He was laid to eternal rest at the graveyard of his in-laws in Tarakandi under Mymensingh.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of Shahjahan, also a former member of office sub-committee of Awami League.
In a condolence message, the premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and extended her sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader and AL Joint General Secretary and Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud also expressed profound shock at his death.
