Shasha Garments, a Bangladeshi company, is going to establish a garments manufacturing industry in Dhaka Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
The company will invest $5 million in setting up a industry with annual production capacity of 6.75 million pcs of Men’s Pant, Women’s Pant, Boy’s Pant, and Jacket.This would also create employment scopes for about 2000 Bangladeshi nationals, said a press release on Tuesday.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Shasha Garments at BEPZA Complex in the capital on Tuesday.
BEPZA Member (Investment Promotion) Md Mahmudul Hossain Khan and Shasha Garments Managing Director Parveen Mahmud signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Md Nazrul Islam was present at the signing ceremony.
Among others, BEPZA Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, BEPZA Member (Finance) Nafisa Banu, BEPZA Secretary Md Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, BEPZA General Manager (Public Relations) Nazma Binte Alamgir, BEPZA General Manager (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain, BEPZA General Manager (Enterprise Service) Md Khorshid Alam, among others, were present at the signing ceremony.
