Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan returned from the USA on early Tuesday to take preparations for the upcoming Indian Premier League.
The all-rounder arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport though Qatar Airways at 02:00am.Shakib’s mentor Mohammad Salahuddin told The Daily Sun that he is expected to start preparation as quickly as possible after arriving in Dhaka.
“We all know it is a competitive tournament and he needs to be at his best to perform in the competition,” said Salahuddin.
Shakib is in the spotlight again after criticising Bangladesh Cricket Board recently.
The 33-year old took a break from Bangladesh’s ongoing tour of New Zealand as he wanted to be with his wife during the birth of their third child.
Shakib’s wife gave birth to a baby boy at a hospital in the USA on March 15.
