Tooth decay is world’s one of the most widespread disease: at least 3 out of 5 children suffer from dental cavities, and toothache is one of the main reason for children to miss school. The easiest way to defeat tooth decay is by brushing twice a day. It has been demonstrated that brushing day and night with a fluoride toothpaste can reduce tooth decay by up to 50 per cent.
A global survey commissioned for World Oral Health Day suggests that 30 per cent people of Bangladesh are not brushing their teeth properly, twice a day.Earlier in 2018, 78 per cent parents and 82 per cent children were brushing twice a day, while in 2020 those numbers have gone down to 74 per cent and 73 per cent respectively.
