Premiere show of ‘Corona Kal’ held

Premiere show of the documentary ‘Corona Kal’ directed by Priota Iftekhar was held at Star Cineplex of Senakalyan Bhaban in the capital on March 14.

State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hassan, Shah Ali Farhad, special advisor to the prime minister, high officials of the Bangladesh government, diplomats, filmmakers, representatives of domestic and international aid agencies and many others were present on the occasion. 

The documentary ‘Corona Kal’ tells the story of seven people, all caught up in the pandemic in their own ways. A nurse, a garment worker, 2 primary school students, a minister, a community ward counsellor, a hospital director, and an international public health official.

Their stories such as personal journeys, their achievements and struggles have been included in the documentary. Their stories also highlight key aspects of the pandemic response; role of information and understanding real risk, community behavioral norms and role of community leaders, hospital infection control and medical ethics.

In this documentary, all characters share their personal and professional stories.
