Bangladesh will play their upcoming two-match Test series against hosts Sri Lanka at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy as Sri Lanka Cricket on Friday released the itinerary for Bangladesh’s tour of Sri Lanka.

Tigers will arrive in Sri Lanka on April 12 to play two matches of the ICC World Test Championship.

The series originally was scheduled to be played during October – November last year but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tigers will play a two-day intra-squad warm-up game on April 17-18 at CMC, Katunayake before they take on the hosts in the first Test on April 21-25 in Kandy.

The second Test will be played between April 29 to May 3 at the same venue.

Bangladesh will be without their ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan during their Test tour in Sri Lanka as he will take part in the Indian Premier League for Kolkata Knight Riders during the series.

The service of pacer Mustafizur Rahman in the Sri Lanka Test series is yet to be confirmed as he was also picked by another IPL franchise – Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming edition of IPL, starting on April 9.
