Veteran umpire Masum dies

Afjalur Rahman Masum, an umpire coach of Bangladesh Cricket Board, died from a cardiac arrest on Wednesday at his residence in Dhaka.  He was 51.

 Masum was a first-class umpire whose officiating career spanned over three decades.

BCB expressed deepest sympathy and condolence to the family of Masum and prayed for the salvation of his departed soul.

His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Mohakhali DOHS Jamia Mosque after Asr prayers. He was buried at Azimpur Graveyard in the capital.
