Two Indian Navy ships leave Mongla after goodwill visit

Two Indian Naval ships – ‘INS Kulish’ and ‘INS Sumedha’ – left Mongla port on Wednesday wrapping up its three-day goodwill visit to Bangladesh celebrating the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence.

At that time, a well-equipped orchestra band of the Bangladesh Navy performed in traditional manner and bade farewell to the two ships. Captain of BNS Mongla and high officials of the Bangladesh Navy were present at the time, said an ISPR press release.

On Tuesday, the visiting Indian Navy representatives paid their respects by laying a wreath at the grave of Bangabandhu at Tungipara. They also paid their respects by laying a wreath at the grave of Bir Shreshtha Ruhul Amin.
