The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) observed the International Women’s Day 2021.
On the occasion, the organisation arranged a discussion titled “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world” at ICMA Bhaban in the capital on Monday.Principal Coordinator (SDGs) of Prime Minister’s Office Zuena Aziz was present at the meeting as the chief guest. Secretary of Bangladesh Public Service Commission Asia Khatoon and President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) A. K. M. Delwer Hussain were present as special guests, said a press release.
Speaking as the chief guest, Zuena Aziz said inequality between men and women in the country has been reduced to a great extent due to the effective policy of the present women-friendly government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
President of ICMAB Abu Bakar Siddique presided over the programme and keynote address was presented by Executive Director (PRL) of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Rukhsana Rashid.
Kazi Muhammad Ziauddin FCMA, Secretary of ICMAB, delivered the welcome speech.
Past presidents, council members, a good number of fellow and associate members of the institute and a large number of running students, among others, attended the programme.
