The second leg of Bangladesh Premier League 2021 is expected to be resumed on April 8 or 9, a Bangladesh Football Federation official said on Sunday.

The second phase of the players' registration window will be held from March 8 to April 7 at BFF house as the decisions were made in a meeting of the BFF professional football league committee meeting.

BFF Senior Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy also informed that they are expecting to conclude the league by July 15.

“After the league, we will arrange the Independence Cup and BFF U-18 tournament within the FIFA window,” he said.

“Our two teams -- Bashundhara Kings and Dhaka Abahani Limited will play in the AFC Cup. They need to rest their players after the AFC campaign,” he added.

PFLC also decided to arrange the 11th edition of the Independence Cup with the participation of 17 teams including 13 BPL clubs and four teams from district football associations and service teams.

Meanwhile, the 4th edition of the Women’s Football League is expected to get underway on March 27.

The booters' registration window will be held from March 10 to 20. A total of 10 teams will take part in the league.
