Pretorius tested corona negative in second test

A Bangladesh Cricket Board official on Saturday said that Ireland Wolves all-rounder Ruhan Pretorius was tested negative in the second corona test.

The BCB official insisted that they are waiting to get the full reports of both the squads and if everything goes fine the second match, scheduled today will proceed as planned in Chattogram.

“Pretorius is tested Covid-19 negative and now we are waiting for the report of both the squads and if it is fine we will play the second game as scheduled,” said a BCB official on Saturday.

The first of the five-match one-day series between Bangladesh Emerging Team and Ireland Wolves was earlier postponed on medical advice in Chattogram on Friday after Pretorius was tested positive midway in the contest.

Bangladesh Emerging Team were batting on 122-4 in 30 overs after being asked to bat first by Wolves when the news came out that pacer Pretorius, who also bowled four overs and got a wicket in the contest, tested Covid-19 positive.
