Army Archery Club emerge champions

Dhaka Army Archery Club became champions of the Bangabandhu 12th Teer National Archery Championships that ended at the Sheikh Kamal International Stadium in Cox's Bazar on Thursday.

Army Archery Club won five gold medals and two silver medals in the competition while Bangladesh Krira Sikkha Protisthan finished second winning three gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals.

Bangladesh Police Archery Club claimed third place with nine medals including one gold medal while Bangladesh Ansar, which showcased disappointing performances, finished fourth bagging six medals including one gold medal only.

On the final day, Abdur Rahman Alif of BKSP won the gold medal in recurve men’s singles event while Army Archery Club’s Mehenaz Akter Monira won the gold medal in recurve women’s singles event.

Abdur Rahman Alif and Prodipto Chakma won the gold medal in recurve men’s team event while Army Archery Club’s Mehenaz Akter Monira, Nasrin Akter and Rabeya Akter won the gold medal in recurve women’s team event.

Aiswarjjo Rahman of Bangladesh Ansar won the gold medal in the compound men’s singles event while Sushmita Bonik of Army Archery Club won the gold medal in the compound women’s singles event.
