NBR’s 2nd lottery on EFDMS today

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will hold its second lottery draw today (Friday) on invoices generated by Electronic Fiscal Device Management System (EFDMS). 

The lottery draw will be held on the EFD-generated invoices issued for purchasing goods from the shops or outlets having the system during the period between February 1 and 28.

NBR will hold the lottery draw at its conference hall at 10:00 am in the capital where NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem will attend as the chief guest.

NBR will give cash prize of Tk 1.190 million to lucky 101 consumers in every month through a lottery.

The first prize winner will get Tk0.1 million in cash while the second prize winner Tk 50,000, according to the policy.

Five consumers will share the fourth price worth Tk 25,000 each, while some 94 consumers will get the fifth price worth Tk 10,000 each.

As per the policy, the invoices generated from the EFD Management System (EFDMS) would be considered as coupons for the lottery.

Lottery on the invoices of the previous month will be held on the fifth day of a month.

The NBR will announce the numbers of winners within three working days of holding the lottery. The EFD invoice holders will be eligible to receive the prizes.

Winners will have to apply to any field-level VAT offices in a prescribed format claiming the prize within the month of lottery.

All prizes will be given by cheque and the first three prizes will be handed over to the winners from the revenue board while the fourth prize will be distributed instantly from the field offices.
