1 held with crystal meth worth Tk 100m

The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) has arrested an alleged drug dealer with two kilograms of crystal meth or ice, a drug item, worth about Tk 100 million.

A team of Teknaf Special Zone of the DNC held dealer Mohammad Abdullah, 31, son of Gulal Nabi, from near a Rohingya camp at Jadimura in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday.

Mohammad Ahsanul Jabbar, director general of the DNC, briefed journalists on the matter at the DNC headquarters in the capital on Thursday.

He said that the DNC men conducted a raid and nabbed Abdullah, but his brother Abdur Rahim, who also involved in the drug trade, managed to escape.
