Shana makes poor start in Nat’l Archery

The country’s celebrated archer Ruman Shana from Ansar made a poor start in the Bangabandhu 12th Teer National Archery Championships as he ranked sixth out of 69 participants after scoring 644 in the men's recurve singles qualification round at the Sheikh Kamal International Stadium in Cox's Bazar on Tuesday.

Ram Krishna Saha from Air Force clinched the top slot scoring 657 while Sakib Molla from Ansar and Tamimul Islam from Police Archery Club placed second and third respectively after scoring 654 and 653 respectively.

In the women’s recurve singles, Mehenaj Akter Monira from Dhaka Army Archery Club clinched top position in the qualification round after scoring 615 while Ety Khatun from Police Archery Club placed second scoring 607 and her team-mate Beauty Ray finished third scoring 605.
