New hospital to be built on BSMMU campus

A multi-disciplinary super-specialised hospital will be built under Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Phase-2 at Bangladesh Betar Bhaban in the capital.

South Korea's Economic Development Cooperation Fund and Bangladesh government will jointly finance the construction of the hospital. On the occasion, a discussion was held at BSMMU on Saturday.

BSMMU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Kanak Kanti Barua presided over the programme while Project Manager and Professor of Yonsei University Woo Nam, Chief Representative of Exim Bank of Korea Jun Siduk and Surgery Faculty Dean of BSMMU Professor Dr Md Julfikar Rahman Khan presented details in this regard.

BSMMU Pro-VC (Academic) Prof Dr Shahana Akter Rahman, Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Dr Rafiqul Alam, Pro-VC (Research and Development) Prof Dr MD Jahid Hossain, Treasurer Prof Dr Md Atiqur Rahman and Registrar Prof Dr ABM Abdul Hannan, among others, were present on the occasion.
