Confidence Group Director Shah Muhammed Hasan died of lung complications in Evercare Hospital in the capital on Friday. He was 72.
He was laid to eternal rest at his ancestral home in Cumilla following his namaz-e-janaza on Saturday, said a press release.Hasan was born on 21 April in 1949 in Cumilla. He graduated from the University of Karachi. He began his career in government service in 1967.
After serving for nine years, he retired from his services and joined Bangladesh Inland Water Transportation Authority (BITWA) as the Commander of Survey Vessels in 1977.
Hasan joined Confidence Group in 1992 as a sponsor director of Confidence Cement Ltd and has been a director ever since.
Apart from Confidence Cement Ltd, he was also a director of Confidence Infrastructure Ltd, Confidence Batteries Ltd, Confidence Power Holdings Ltd, Confidence Cement Dhaka Ltd, and Zodiac Logistics Ltd.
The Confidence Group family expressed profound shock at the death of Shah Muhammed Hasan.
They also prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul and extended their sympathy to the bereaved family members.
