3 found dead in capital

Two teenage boys and a girl were found dead in three different places in the capital on Wednesday and Thursday.

The body of the boy was identified as Mohammad Shakil, 14. Miscreants stabbed him near Star Kebab and Restaurant at Banani at around 10:30pm after he was called from his house at Korail Slum, sources said.

The critically wounded Shakil was rushed to Mohakhali Aysha Memorial Hospital where the doctors on duty declared him dead at about 11:00pm. Later, the body was sent to the DMCH for autopsy.

Yasin Hossain, sub-inspector of the Banani Police Station, told the Daily Sun that four to five youths have killed him.

His father Jasim Uddin filed a murder case with the police station, he said, adding that police already arrested three youngsters for their alleged involvement in the killing.  The reason of the murder could not be known immediately, he said.

The father of the victim said, “Some friends of my son called him from our house at night. Later, we came to know that my son was killed.”

Meanwhile, police recovered the body of an unidentified girl, 25, from a road at Mohammadpur at about 1:00am. Shariful Islam, sub-inspector of Mohammadpur Police Station, told the Daily Sun that they recovered the body from in front of  house No. 12/12 on Taj Mahal Road.

He said that they did not find any injury marks in the body. “It is not clear whether she was killed or she committed suicide or received a normal death.  The body was kept to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. After the autopsy report, the reason of the death could be known,” he said.

Police also recovered the throat-slit body of a teenage boy identified as Mohammad Hasan, 12, from a house at Wari area in the city.

Asaduzzaman, sub-inspector of Wari Police Station, said that Hasan was living with her uncle and aunt at house No. 8/1/A on Padhonidhi Lane.
