Bangladesh national women’s cricket team members on Monday received the Covid-19 vaccine at Kurmitola General Hospital on Monday.

29 cricketers and 10 members of the coaching staff completed the first dose of vaccine as Bangladesh Cricket Board wants them to prepare for the upcoming Bangladesh Games.

“We have Bangladesh Games and that will be followed by a series against South Africa before we move to Sri Lanka to play in the ICC World Cup qualifiers,” BCB women’s wing manager Towhid Mahmud told The Daily Sun.

“So we need to make sure our women’s cricketers are vaccinated so that they can return to full-fledged cricket,” he added.
