Bangladesh Hockey Federation have rescheduled the ongoing Mujib Barsho Shaheed Smriti Hockey as Sunday’s matches have been moved back to one day to Monday.

AHM Kamruzzaman Smriti Sangha, who were scheduled to play against Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan while defending champions Bangladesh Navy, who were scheduled to play Bangladesh Air Force at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Sunday, will now play these matches on Monday.

BHF tournament committee secretary Badrul Islam Dipu told The Daily Sun that they rescheduled the fixture as BHF president Chief of the Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat won’t be able to present on February 25, the day when the final was previously scheduled to be taken place.

“BHF President won’t be able to present on the final day on Feb 25 so we rescheduled the fixture,” said Badrul.

Navy will play against BKSP while Army will face Air Force on February 23 while Air Force will take on AHM Kamruzzaman and Navy will meet Army on February 25.

Bangladesh Army won both of their matches in the tournament so far while Navy and Air force earlier won their opening matches in the competition. BKSP and AHM Kamruzzaman are yet to open their account.
