Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hassan Papon on Wednesday held emerging meetings with the board directors, selectors, officials and senior cricketers at his residence in the capital.
Most of the BCB directors apart from Mahbub Anam took part in the meeting while national selectors – Minhajul Abedin and Habibul Bashar were also present in the meeting.Nazmul then called another meeting with senior cricketers - Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Tamim Iqbal in the evening after the first meeting ended.
A BCB official later informed that the main discussion in the meetings was regarding the recent debacle of Bangladesh Test team against West Indies in the two-match Test series where they conceded a humiliating 0-2 defeat on their home soil.
“We had a free discussion. We had talks regarding the development of Bangladesh cricket, our HP team especially about the recent series against West Indies,” the official said.
“We have a series in very recent times. I don’t think there will be many changes. But we discussed how we can come out from our current situation,” he added
