A newborn baby was found alive in a bush near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Monday morning.
The baby girl, aged only a day or two, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.One Rehana, a cleaner of the airport, found the baby at about 11:30am in the bush.
Jahura Akter, a coworker of Rehana, said they heard a baby crying in the bush. Then Rehana went close to the bush and found the baby wrapped in a towel. Later, she took the baby to Airport Police Station.
Later, police managed to rush the baby to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Razibul Hasan, sub-inspector of Airport Police Station, said the baby has no injury marks on her body but she has rashes which possibly happened due to mosquito bites.
