Army chief receives Covid-19 vaccine

Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed received Covid-19 vaccine on Sunday, a day after his return from a 15-day trip to the United States.

The army chief was immunized at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, according to a press release of ISPR.

After vaccination, General Aziz Ahmed instructed everyone not to pay heed to rumours and get vaccinated. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for arranging vaccination facilities for the members of the army and countrymen.

CMH launched the Covid-19 vaccination programme along with the nationwide campaign on February 7. Till February 13, as many as 18,269 working and retired army personnel, their family members and others were vaccinated at 26 vaccination centres.
