Development of Sabrang Tourism Park begins

Three investors have started developing hotels and hospitality infrastructure at Sabrang Tourism Park in the country’s first tourism-based Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

Great Outdoor and Adventure Ltd, Green Orchard Hotel and Resort Ltd and Sunset Bay Ltd on Saturday laid foundation stones of their respective projects at the EZ in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.

Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury, Great Outdoor and Adventure Ltd Managing Director Sohel ur Rahman, Green Orchard Hotel and Resort Ltd and Sunset Bay Ltd Chairman Ishtiaq Ahmed Patwary were present at the foundation laying ceremony.

Great Outdoor and Adventure Ltd will invest around $6 million and will build Snorkeling, Scuba diving, Para Sailing, Paddleboarding, Beach Volleyball and other sports arrangements on three acres of land in the EZ.

Sunset Bay Ltd will build a five star hotel having 370 rooms, swimming pool, restaurant, convention center, bar and leisure spots on one acre of land.

Green Orchard Hotel and Resort Ltd will invest $7 million to build a five star rated hotel, recreation center and convention center on 1.5 acres of land in Sabrang Tourism Park.

Sabrang Tourism Park will be the first exclusive tourism park in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar encompassing an area of 1027 acres.

Sabrang presents an amazing landscape having hill and sea beach territory, creating perfect ground for developing a tourist zone with all modern entertainment facilities.
