Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hassan Papon on Wednesday had a zoom meeting with Bangladesh team as he motivated them ahead of their crucial second Test against West Indies, starting today.

Bangladesh lost the opening Test by three wickets but are looking to make a turnaround in the series-concluding Test at the Sher-e- Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

“I have been talking to the senior players regularly as even today I have a zoom meeting with the whole team,” said Nazmul.

“I don’t think we should be demotivated as West Indies played fabulously. Playing a knock of 210 runs on the fifth day, was a remarkable feat for Kyle Mayers, as none has ever achieved this feat in Test cricket history on debut.

“But we also have to agree that we have missed several opportunities in the field and it is quite unacceptable. We should concentrate on those mistakes so that in future we don’t attain a similar fate,” he added.
