Two-day SAFA Int’l Confce ends

The two-day SAFA International Conference 2021 of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) ended in the capital on Saturday.

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organised a 2 day long SAFA International Conference – 2021 with the theme “Digitalization of Accounting and Auditing Practices: Challenges and Opportunities to Protect Public Interest”, said a press release.

Planning Minister MA Mannan inaugurated the conference as the chief guest while Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury and Commerce Secretary Dr Md Jafar Uddin were present as the special guests.

Financial Reporting Council (FRC) Chairman Prof Dr Md Hamid Ullah Bhuiyan spoke as keynote speaker, said a press release.

SAFA President AKM Delwer Hussain and SAFA Vice-President: H M Hennayake Bandara also present on the occasion.

President of ICMAB Md Jasim Uddin Akond, Chief Executive Officer International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Kevin Dancey, European Federation of Accountants and Auditors for small and medium-sized enterprises (EFAA)President Salvador Marin,  Deputy President ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) Teerachai Arunruangsirilert, Chief Executive Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) Brian Blood, and CEO Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA) Alta Prinsloo, and other high officials from ICMAB, among others, were also attended the programme.
