Workshop on spice crop held

The Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) arranged a workshop titled “Researcher-Extensionist-Farmer Integrated Workshop on Achieving Self-Sufficiency in Spices Crop Production in Bangladesh-2021” on Saturday.

Senior Secretary of the Agriculture Ministry Md Mesbahul Islam was present as the chief guest at the event held at the Institute’s Kazi Badrudduza auditorium, said a press release.

The programme was organised with the funding of 'Strengthening of Spice National Crop Research in Bangladesh'.

Director General of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute Dr Md Shahjahan Kabir, BARI Director General Dr Md Nazirul Islam, Additional Secretary of  the Agriculture Ministry Kamalaranjan Das, Chairman of Bangladesh Agriculture Development Board (BADC) Md Sayedul Islam, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council Dr Shaikh Mohammad Bokhtiar, Additional Secretary of Cultural Affairs Ministry Shabiha Pervin, Chief Executive Officer of  Gazipur City Corporation Md Aminul Islam were present in the programme.
