Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested three alleged killers of Rajib Khan from Sayedabad area in the capital’s Jatrabari.

The arrestees are Izar Ali, 40, Mostakul, 35, and Waliullah alias Poka, 28. A team of RAB-10 arrested them from Mazar Gate of Saydebad Bus Terminal on Friday evening, said a press release on Saturday.

Three switch gear knives, 12 mobile phone sets and a wrist watch were seized from their possession.

On January 1, some miscreants stormed into the house of Rajib, 30, at Kazla in Jatrabari and stabbed him and his wife Maryam Akhter, 24, around 9:00pm.   The couple was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Rajib dead.

Next day, his wife filed a case with Jatrabari Police Station.

The RAB launched a shadow investigation and arrested the alleged killers.

During primary interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in the murder.

The arrestees said that they killed Rajib in a pre-planned way, following a money-related dispute.
