Shakib in IPL auction

Five Bangladeshi cricketers are amongst 1097 players to get registered for the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League auction, scheduled to take place on February 18 in Chennai.

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who could not play the last season for his suspension ban, will be in the auction and he is one of 11 players to be listed at the highest base price of Rs 2 crore (USD 274,000 approx.).

Mitchell Starc and Joe Root are notable players to opt-out of IPL 2021 auction while Sreesanth will be part of the auction this year, having served out his ban earlier.

Arjun Tendulkar, the son of Sachin Tendulkar, has also enlisted for a base price of Rs 20 lakh.
