Kings look to maintain unbeaten run

Bashundhara Kings will take on Chittagong Abahoni Ltd in one of the sixth round matches of ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, scheduled to be held today at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital.

Kings are unbeaten in the league and lead the league table with 15 points from five matches while Chittagong Abahoni struggled with seven points playing the same number of matches.

Kings made a winning start in the league beating Uttar Baridhara Club by 2-0 goals and they defeated Bangladesh Police Football Club by 2-1 goals in the second match.

They edged past Brothers Union Club by 1-0 goal in the third match and blanked old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society by 3-0 goals in the fourth match and dumped Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited 4-1 in the fifth match.

Chittagong Abahoni, who played a 1-1 goal draw with Dhaka Abahani Ltd in their previous match, are looking forward to improving their position by snatching the full three points against Kings.

In the day’s other matches, Dhaka Abahani Limited will play against Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra at the Bangabandhu National Stadium while Mohammedan Sporting Club will take on Uttar Baridhara Club in Tongi’s Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium.

In Thursday’s only match, Bangladesh Police FC played a goalless draw against Rahamatgonj Muslim Friends Society at the BNS in the capital.
